The Role
We are seeking a Senior/Principal Consultant who will play a client-facing role in project delivery, business change management and strategic advisory services. While anchored in delivering Operations & Maintenance expertise to our clients, we are seeking a strong project manager who can work with our wider team to deliver value and support the growth of governance, operational performance improvement and asset management strategy consultancy work.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted partner to clients: leading projects that deliver measurable improvements, enable organisational change, and enhance asset performance. You will combine technical understanding with project management capability and an understanding of change management, ensuring assignments are delivered effectively, on time, and with clear client value.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver consultancy projects, working closely with our clients to ensure high-quality meaningful outcomes
- Support client business change initiatives, including strategy design, process improvement, O&M readiness and governance development
- Use project management skills to plan, track, and deliver assignments
- Ensure that O&M and asset management expertise is delivered effectively, with the ability to translate technical and commercial data into actionable strategies
- Drive performance improvement through data-led analysis and business insight
- Produce high-quality reports and presentations that influence client decision-making
- Promote operational excellence within your network and represent Generating Better at industry forums, technical workshops, and client steering groups
- Contribute to business development, identifying opportunities and helping shape proposals and growth activities
- Continue to grow your knowledge, share your experience with our team to contribute to the continuous improvement of our consultancy practice
What We’re Looking For
- A self-starter with proven project management skills and experience of delivering change and enabling business transformation
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to build trust quickly
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy, with an emphasis on O&M and asset management
- Experience in governance, performance management, risk, or asset management processes would be an advantage
- Ability to interpret, use and combine technical and commercial knowledge, experience and data to inform strategy and drive improvements
- Relevant qualifications in engineering, renewable energy, project management, or a related field.
- Ability to produce high-quality written reports and present confidently.

- Ability to work remotely while collaborating effectively across teams
- Willingness to travel internationally for short durations
