Sally Shenton, founding Director of Generating Better has worked in the power industry for 24 years. Sally has worked for utility companies in Asset Management roles and  developed and implemented a “hands-on” proactive O&M concept at the Robin Rigg offshore windfarm.  Sally is an active member of the offshore operations community and regular speaker at industry events.  She works with Development Agencies to improve knowledge of offshore wind supply chain opportunities and to help to improve the potential for local communities to provide services in the operational phase.  Sally has spoken regularly at events organised by Renewables UK and other conference organisers.

Generating Better staff and associates have worked with a number of operational offshore windfarms to improve their performance and has also contributed to due diligence activities, operational audits and strategic studies.  We are currently working with the ORE Catapult supporting an Offshore Wind O&M Forum, we sit on the UK Wind Programme Board O&M Steering Group and are members of Scottish Renewables.

Generating Better strongly believes in the practical delivery of mitigation against climate change through more widespread and efficient use of renewable energy.  We do all we can to minimize the environmental footprint of our business activities and support local sourcing whenever possible.

Our mission is to help to maximise the electricity produced by operational renewable energy schemes, help to build a financially sustainable industry and in doing so make the greatest contribution possible to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
